Meshless modelling of fluid flow
Prochazková, Zdeňka ; Zatočilová, Jitka (referee) ; Čermák, Libor (advisor)
The thesis focuses on the Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics (SPH) meshfree method. In the thesis, basic equations needed for solving fluid flow problems are derived - continuity equation, momentum equation and energy equation. The text presents the basic principles of the method, selection of a smoothing function, spacial discretization and a suitable time integration method. As an example of usage, the thesis models the shock tube problem. On this problem, we can compare the solution using the SPH method with the accurate solution.

Measurement of nucleation rate in corrossive mixtures
Krejčí, A. Petr
For a complete description of two-phase flow a basic informationabout liquid phase formation is needed. The information is fulfilled in terms ofnucleation rate and its dependency on quantities characteristic for gas-phaseflow. One of devices used for measuring of nucleation rate in multi-componentsystems of vapors and gases is a shock tube. Unique modification of this devicedesigned for measuring in chemically aggressive mixtures is described.
Dynamics of a bubble in variable pressure and temperature fields of a liquid
Zima, Patrik ; Maršík, František
A study of nucleation and growth of bubbles in a liquid by means of a method based on the nucleation pulse in a shock tube is proposed. The nucleation of bubbles in the shock tube is initiated by a sudden depressurization due to the expansion of the liquid. It is assumed that the nucleation is homogeneous and the nucleation rate and the growth of bubbles can be evaluated using the light scattering method. Description of the experimental setup and analytical solution of the expansion of water in a shock tube are given. The theory of radial dynamics of a spherical vapor/gas bubble in a liquid is then employed in the form of the Rayleigh-Plesset equation and some aspects of inertially controlled bubble growth are discussed. The governing equation and conditions for mass transfer across the bubble boundary due to diffusion of the contaminant gas are given.
Návrh nového zařízení pro přípravu směsi za účelem měření nukleační rychlosti v systémech agresivních par s použitím rázové trubice
Krejčí, A. Petr ; Hrubý, Jan ; Haartsen, J.
Binary homogeneous nucleation of sulphuric acid-water droplets is traditionally considered as a model of secondary aerosol particle formation in the atmosphere.
